Who knew that when the idea of 7 Amazing People came up, we would actually be able to manage a capable blogging platform and find a crew of seven bloggers who would be committed to such an idea. At 7 Amazing People, seven people are each assigned to one day of the week. Each person then writes weekly, on their assigned day.

We have decided to set our launch date on August 31st, where a global phenomenon known as ‘Blog Day’ takes place. This is an annual event created by bloggers, for bloggers: on Blog Day, blogs all over the world will recommend five other blogs to their visitors. This is both an intuitive way of exploring different blog genres as well as an excellent opportunity for social networking and getting your blog ‘out there’ – gaining new readers, subscribers, backlinks and the like.

To comply with the guidelines of Blog Day, we have compiled a list of five noteworthy new blogs for your entertainment. Each of the following have been handpicked for their character, wit or allure; or simply to give those new blogs a boost in hits!

Hooked on Ads: ‘Creative Advertising for Creative People’. This regularly-updated blog holds a collection of innovative adverts throughout the years; not only the classics, like these Jobsintown posters, but new ad campaigns that are added almost as soon as they’re broadcasted.

The World Through the Eyes of a Teenager: ‘A teenager with random views and opinions on the world.’ Wordy, but accurate; this is a new blog started by a sixteen-year-old with a passionate take on just about everything.

1000 Awesome Things: This blog is only beginning to list the 1000 most awesome things in life, starting from no. #1000. At the time or writing, #690 reads ‘When the person scratching your back finds that one really itchy spot’. Awesome!

PhotoshopDisasters: Despite the rather technical name, this blog is not geared towards Photoshop veterans in particular; even graphic manipulation amateurs can spot these atrocities some companies manage to come up with.

Cute Overload : For your daily dose of everything cute! Not unlike 7 Amazing People, Cute Overload is updated once daily with a lovable baby animal – and not just your everyday household canine and feline friends, but everything from squirrels to moles.
